We commissioned Donald MacLeod, from the Outer Hebrides, to create a painting of Harris' Luskentyre Beach. The artist has a long held connection with Harris and Harris Tweed®, and we wanted to bring one of the landscapes that inspired the iconic textile into our collection in a new way. Macleod's piece is a dreamy pause on the beach. Donald and Amy both love sunrises and sunsets. The low hanging clouds and gentle lapping waves are illuminated by soft light creating a peaceful and contemplative scene. The artist has incorporated several colours that can be spotted in our Harris Tweeds®. Our commitment to creating products that have a low environmental impact is so that we can preserve these landscapes so that they can continue to inspire.
Our pouch is handmade in Stirling, Scotland from 100% certified Eco Cotton and features a YKK zip with a leather pull, and is fully lined. All of our zips and thread are made from recycled plastic bottles, and our outer packaging is composed of 100% post-consumer waste.
